We share copies of our most sensitive documents all the time — to rent an apartment, open a bank account, sign with an insurer, or pass a KYC check. And the moment a scan of your passport or ID leaves your hands, you lose all control over where it goes next.
A copy of an identity document is powerful. In the wrong hands it can be used to open accounts, take out credit, or impersonate you — long after you've forgotten you ever sent it. Yet most of us still email these documents as plain, unprotected images, simply because there was no easy way to do otherwise.
Kavrylo exists to put a simple layer of protection back in your hands. It adds a clear watermark that ties each copy to a specific purpose and date — for example, “For bank use only — 2026-06-18.” If that copy ever resurfaces somewhere else, it's visibly out of context and far harder to misuse.
Our principle is simple: the safest place for your documents is your own device. That's why Kavrylo runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded, never stored on a server, and never seen by us. There's no account to create and nothing to log in to.
This isn't a promise you have to take on faith — it's how the tool is built. We can't lose, leak, or misuse documents we never receive in the first place. Privacy here is a property of the architecture, not a line in a policy.
