In short: Kavrylo is a free, browser-based tool for watermarking your own documents before sharing. It runs on your device, requires no account, and is provided "as is". The watermark is a visual deterrent — it does not legally prevent fraud or misuse, and you remain responsible for the documents you process and how you share them.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of kavrylo.me and the watermarking tool it provides (together, the "Service"), operated by Kavrylo ("Kavrylo", "we", "us"). Please read them carefully.
1 Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2 The service
Kavrylo lets you add a visible watermark to images and PDF documents — such as identity cards, passports, driver's licenses and other files — directly in your web browser. The Service is:
- Client-side. Your files are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to us. See the Privacy Policy for details.
- Free. The Service is provided free of charge, with no account, subscription or usage limits.
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
3 Eligibility
You must be old enough to form a binding contract under the laws of your country to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
4 Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you agree that you will not:
- Process documents you do not own or are not authorized to handle;
- Use the Service to create, alter or distribute fraudulent, forged or misleading documents;
- Use a watermark to misrepresent the origin, validity or purpose of a document;
- Use the Service in any way that is unlawful, infringes the rights of others, or violates these Terms;
- Attempt to disrupt, attack, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
You are solely responsible for the documents you process, the watermark text you choose, and the way you subsequently share or use the output.
5 Your documents and the watermark
You keep all rights to the documents you upload into the tool. Because files are processed locally and never sent to us, we claim no rights over them and never access them.
Watermarks generated by the Service include a "Secured by Kavrylo" attribution as part of the overlay. By using the Service, you accept that this attribution is applied to your output. You are free to use, store and share the watermarked files for your own lawful purposes.
No guarantee of protection. A watermark is a visual deterrent that signals a document's intended use. It does not encrypt, secure or legally protect a document, and it cannot prevent a determined party from copying, editing, removing the mark or misusing the file. Kavrylo does not verify, validate or authenticate identity documents, and provides no guarantee that a watermark will prevent fraud or unauthorized use.
6 Intellectual property
The Service — including its design, layout, code, text, graphics, the "Kavrylo" name and logo — is owned by Kavrylo or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for using the Service as intended, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission.
7 Third-party services and advertising
The Service uses third-party providers for hosting, analytics, consent management and advertising (see the Privacy Policy). The site may display advertising served by third parties. We are not responsible for the content, products or practices of any third-party services, advertisers or linked websites.
8 Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every browser or device, or that the output will meet your requirements.
9 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kavrylo and its publication director shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, documents, profits or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including any misuse, alteration or unauthorized use of a watermarked document. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10 Indemnity
You agree to hold Kavrylo harmless from any claims, losses or expenses arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or of any applicable law, including any unlawful processing or sharing of documents.
11 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12 Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence. Any dispute relating to the Service will be subject to the competent courts, in accordance with applicable law.
